Reverse logistics in UAE is the process of collecting returned, unsellable, excess or aged stock from Amazon and Noon fulfillment centers, then inspecting it, storing it and sending it back into sale, to another fulfillment center, to liquidation or to disposal. For FBA and FBN sellers it usually starts with a removal order or return request and ends with stock that is counted, graded and back under your control. Swift Tawsil, a Dubai-based logistics company, manages that whole chain so you do not have to coordinate pickups yourself.
If you sell on Amazon.ae or Noon, returns are not a side issue. Every unit that sits unsold in a fulfillment center costs you storage, and every unit that gets disposed of by default is revenue you wrote off.

What Reverse Logistics in UAE Covers for E-commerce Sellers
Reverse logistics is every movement of goods from the customer or fulfillment center back toward the seller. For marketplace sellers in the UAE, that normally means five types of stock:
- Customer returns: units a buyer sent back that are now waiting in the fulfillment network.
- Unfulfillable or non-saleable inventory: items flagged as damaged, defective, expired or otherwise not in sellable condition.
- Aged and excess stock: inventory that is not selling and is costing more to store than it is worth.
- Stranded or non-delivered units: items that could not be delivered to the customer and came back to the warehouse.
- Stock that needs relabeling or repacking: units that are fine but cannot be sold until a label, bag or box is fixed.
Each category needs a different decision: return to you, re-prep and resend, liquidate, or dispose. The earlier you make that decision, the less it costs.
Why Returns Cost More Than Sellers Expect
The real cost of a return is rarely the shipping. It is the combination of several things that build up quietly:
- Storage fees on stock that cannot be sold. Both Amazon and Noon charge for space, so unsellable units sitting in a warehouse are a running cost.
- Default disposal or liquidation. Depending on your account settings, unsellable units can be liquidated or disposed of automatically. Amazon’s policy notes that once a disposal order is created it cannot be cancelled, so check your removal preferences in Seller Central and your return preferences in Seller Lab.
- Per-unit removal fees. Amazon charges a removal fee per unit that varies by item size and weight, and the rate differs for return, disposal and liquidation. Noon publishes its own FBN removal fees for the UAE.
- Recoverable stock that is never recovered. Many returned items are perfectly sellable. Without someone to collect and inspect them, they stay idle or get written off.
- Time and coordination. Removal shipments need a recipient who can accept delivery, correct paperwork and a clear plan for what happens next.
For most sellers, removing stock that still has resale value is cheaper than paying to store it, as long as the recovered value is higher than the removal fee, transport and handling combined.
How Amazon FBA Removals Work in the UAE
An FBA removal order is a request in Seller Central that tells Amazon to take inventory out of its fulfillment network. You choose what happens to it: return it to an address you specify, dispose of it, or send it to liquidation.
In practice the flow looks like this:
- Identify the stock. Use your inventory and inventory health reports to find unfulfillable, aged, stranded and excess units.
- Create the removal order. Select the SKUs and quantities, choose the removal method and confirm the fee estimate Amazon shows before you submit.
- Set the return address and recipient. This is where a logistics partner matters. If the return address is a warehouse that can receive, count and inspect the stock, the shipment lands somewhere useful instead of at an address with nobody to check it.
- Automate where it makes sense. Seller Central lets you configure automated unfulfillable settings so unsellable units are removed on a schedule. Review these carefully, because they decide what happens to your stock without further input from you.
- Reconcile on arrival. Compare what you ordered for removal with what actually arrives, and raise a case with Amazon for any discrepancy. Claim windows vary by case type, so do this promptly.
How Noon FBN Returns and Removals Work
Noon handles this differently. Customer-returned units are received back at the warehouse they were originally shipped from, and Noon’s default process moves them into its Express flow. For stock you want back, you create a return request.
- Where: in Seller Lab, go to Fulfillment by noon, then My Returns, then Create Return Request.
- What you choose: the warehouse you want to retrieve stock from and your return preference (return to you or liquidation).
- Contact details: add the return location and the contact details of whoever will receive the shipment.
- Reference number: keep the return request number. You will need it for follow-up and for pickup.
- Status: a request can only be cancelled while it is in Request Pending status. After that, Noon reviews and processes it.
- Reports: the FBN Stock Inventory Detail Report shows saleable and non-saleable units across warehouses, which is the starting point for deciding what to retrieve.
- Fees and limits: removal fees apply in the UAE, and Noon can reject or restrict a request in certain cases, for example when a seller account has an outstanding balance.
What a Reverse Logistics Partner Does
You create the removal order or return request. A reverse logistics partner takes over from there. With Swift Tawsil, the service covers:
- Pickup coordination. We coordinate with the fulfillment center on the collection slot and send our vehicle with the right paperwork.
- Transport. Your stock is moved to our secure warehouse in the UAE, with vehicle size matched to the volume.
- Receiving and counting. Units are checked against your removal order or return request so discrepancies are caught on day one, while there is still time to raise a case.
- Inspection. Items are checked to separate sellable stock from damaged, defective or non-compliant units.
- Storage. Recovered stock can be held in our Dubai warehouse until you need it, without paying platform storage fees.
- Redelivery. Good stock can be re-prepped and sent back to a fulfillment center, delivered to your own warehouse, or held for another channel.
This works alongside the rest of your supply chain: stock can arrive from your supplier through our China to UAE shipment service, sit in our warehouse and storage facility, and move out through delivery to Amazon warehouse when it is ready to sell again.
The Process Step by Step
- Review your stock. Pull your Amazon inventory reports or your Noon FBN stock detail report and mark what should come out.
- Create the order. Place the removal order in Seller Central or the return request in Seller Lab, using our warehouse details as the return location where agreed.
- Send us the reference. Share the removal order ID or return request number, the unit counts and the fulfillment center.
- We book and collect. We coordinate the pickup window with the fulfillment center and collect the stock.
- Receive and count. The shipment is checked against your order, and any shortfall or damage is flagged immediately.
- Inspect and sort. Units are separated by condition so each one gets the right next step.
- Store or move on. Sellable units are stored, re-prepped or redelivered. Non-sellable units are held for your decision on liquidation or disposal.
- You get the update. You are told what arrived, what condition it is in and what is ready for your next move.
Common Mistakes UAE Sellers Make With Returns
- Leaving default settings untouched. If you never chose a removal preference, the platform may choose for you.
- Using the wrong return address or contact person. Shipments get delayed or refused when nobody at the destination expects them.
- Creating lots of tiny removal orders. This multiplies pickups and fees.
- Not reconciling on arrival. Missing units can only be claimed if you notice, and claim windows are limited.
- Waiting for stock to age. The longer unsellable or slow stock sits, the more it costs to store.
- Losing the reference number. Without a removal order ID or return request number, a pickup cannot be matched to your stock.
- Resending stock without inspection. Putting damaged units back into the network creates more returns.
Is This Service Right for You?
A reverse logistics partner makes the most sense if you:
- Sell on Amazon.ae, Noon or both, and regularly have unfulfillable or aged stock.
- Are based outside the UAE, or outside Dubai, and cannot collect and check your own stock.
- Want one team to handle returns, storage and redelivery instead of coordinating several vendors.
- Import stock from China and want your returns managed in the same supply chain as your inbound shipments.

FAQs About Reverse Logistics in UAE
Can you collect returns from both Amazon and Noon?
Yes. We handle collections from Amazon and Noon fulfillment centers, so you can manage your UAE returns through one partner.
Do I still need to create the removal order myself?
Yes. Removal orders and return requests are created in your own Seller Central or Seller Lab account. Once the order exists, we coordinate pickup and handle the stock.
What happens to my items after pickup?
They are taken to our secure warehouse, counted against your order and inspected. Sellable stock can be stored, re-prepped, delivered back to a fulfillment center or sent to your own warehouse. Non-sellable stock is held until you decide whether to liquidate or dispose of it.
Can you reship inspected stock to Amazon or Noon?
Yes. Once stock has been checked and prepared to the platform’s requirements, we can deliver it back to a fulfillment center in the UAE.
Do you cover areas outside Dubai?
Yes. We provide reverse logistics across the UAE, including Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates.
What should I do if units are missing when the shipment arrives?
Tell us straight away so the shortfall is documented, and raise a case with the platform as soon as possible. Claim windows are limited, so quick reconciliation matters.
